Ben Taub General Hospital has garnered the respect of the world as an elite Level 1 Trauma Center, one of only two in the Harris County area. The sanitary sewer drain line system at the hospital was experiencing frequent blockages and back-ups. However, due to the hospital’s operational needs, the sanitary sewer system has to remain in operation 24/7. This greatly limited repair options. TDT Plumbing designed and executed a rehabilitation plan that kept the sanitary sewer drain line system in operation during its CIPP Liner installation.

Description:
The Glendale Adventist Medical Center was experiencing pipe corrosion in the piping system in the Outpatient and Administrative Building’s chilled water and heating system. The Glendale Adventist Medical Center piping system was isolated and conventional repairs were carried out then the piping system was restored in-place using the ACE DuraFlo® system of in-place pipe restoration. By restoring the piping system, in-place, the facility was able to remain in full operation, there were no scheduling changes to outpatient services and the restoration work was completed without activating the concerns related to asbestos abatement.

Heights Medical Tower is a seven-story facility housing medical professionals and various other businesses. The main natural gas supply line from the City meter to the building’s basement area was showing signs of internal corrosion, a common problem with natural gas supply lines. TDT Plumbing was able to provide a barrier coating with corrosion control to the Heights Medical Tower existing 65-foot main gas service line with no disruption to patient care or business operations.

The Desert Regional Medical Center experienced pipe corrosion in the piping system in the facilities chilled water and heating system. Given the need to have little or no patient or operational disruption, the traditional repipe option was ruled out by the facilities engineers. The Desert Regional Medical Center piping system was isolated and conventional repairs carried out and then the piping system was restored in-place using the ACE DuraFlo® system of in-place pipe restoration.
